Google’s Chromebook family of devices welcomed its newest member the Acer C7 a 11.6-inch netbook. The Acer C7 Chromebook joins the Samsung Chromebook and Samsung Chromebook 550 in the current lineup of computers running Google’s cloud-based Chrome operating system.
The Acer C7 has an Intel processor, full-size keyboard, and clickable trackpad. It also features a built-in HD camera, dual-band Wi-Fi, and HDMI output, a 320GB hard. Google will offer all new Chromebook owners 100GB of free Google Drive storage for two years.
Google is marketing the device as easier to share than conventional laptops, since users log in with their Google accounts and will see only their own files when they do.
TheAcer C7 Chromebook will be available tomorrow for $199 in the U.S. on the Google Play store, BestBuy.com, and in some Best Buy stores. In the UK it will be available on Google Play, Amazon UK, and various retail stores. It will be coming to more countries “soon,” Google said
