BlackBerry Z10 Phone Launching Mid-March in the US

     The BlackBerry formerly known as RIM just officially announced its BlackBerry 10 OS as well as the Z10 andQ10 handsets that will house it. The Z10 features a 4.2-inch 356 PPI (1,280 x 768) display and runs on the company’s new BlackBerry 10, the companies first fully touch OS. The phone is powered by a dual-core CPU clocked to 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and also includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFS, a gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 48GB with a microSD card).  The Z10 has a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video, and a front facing camera with a 2-megapixel lens which can shoot 720p video.

Verizon revealed that it will carry both phones, including black and white versions of the touchscreen Z10. The white color model will be a Verizon exclusive, the company said. There was no word on pricing from Verizon for the Q10, but the Z10 will cost $199.99 with a new two-year contract . BlackBerry said Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile will also carry both phones. None of the carriers have confirmed pricing but expect it to fall under-$200 price point. The Z10 will be available mid-March in the US, January 31st in the UK, February 5th in Canada.
