Jade Rabbit is back for an encore

Turns out that Jade Rabbit was just playing possum. Yesterday, it was announced that the rover had come to an unfortunate end after trying to survive the cold temperatures of the lunar night. However, today a spokesperson for China’s lunar program confirmed that the machine began to pick up signals and came back to life. It does seem that there are still some mechanical issues with the rover, so Jade Rabbit may not quite be completely out of the woods yet.
