Virgin America flights are about to get more interesting. Instead of resigning to the randomness of picking a seat, and ending up with a less-than-satisfactory neighbor for your trip, now an in-flight social network will give a preview of your flying companions. All you need to do is download the Here on Biz app onto your Apple device before hopping onto your flight, and you’re set to network.

The service is synced with your Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter account, and allows users to check out their fellow flyers, on your or another Virgin America flight. Available on the flights, already, is Gogo Wifi to allow users to stay connected while in the air. With Here on Biz, Virgin America is aiming to cater to business travelers, allowing them to take advantage of their in-air time to make available professional connections. In addition to the already available chat rooms through the on board entertainment systems, the Here on Biz app is just another way that Virgin America is helping their travelers meet and communicate with others without actually talking to each other.
