Nintendo will be launching its TVii service for the Wii U console in the US on December 20th. The TVii offer a TV programming guide, remote control functionality, and interact with others through social media sites. Nintendo will also include a subscription video service. Nintendo’s TVii service will immediately start offering Amazon Instant Video and Hulu Plus. Netflix and TiVo are expected for early 2013.
“Wii U owners have already experienced the transformative effect that the GamePad has on game play and social interaction. Welcome to the new world of TVii.” said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime
