Just in time for the holidays, AT&T announced the addition of two new Samsung 4G LTE tablets coming this week. AT&T will launch the Windows 8-powered Ativ Smart PC and the Android-based Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 on Nov, 9th.
The $799.99 Ativ Smart PC comes with a detachable keyboard-docking system, 64GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for an additional 32GB, runs an Intel Atom dual-core processor, and supports software and applications from older Windows OSes, like Windows 7, Vista, and XP.
AT&T is offering various accessories, including an Ativ stand dock for $49 , which can charge the device and includes built-in access to a USB port and Ethernet port. A VGA adapter for $40, the adapter allows users to connect their tablet to external displays, monitors, and projectors for second-screen viewing.
The Android-based Galaxy Tab is price at $499.99, features the Media Hub, Smart Remote, AllShare Play, as well as on-device encryption and VPN access.
For limited time, customers who purchase any Samsung Galaxy smartphone will receive up to $100 off a second Samsung device, including the two new tablets. The Ativ Smart PC tablet and Android Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 will be available online and at AT&T’s stores.
