Tesla: From sea to shining sea
With a range of only 170 miles per charge, going on a lengthy road trip in a Tesla did not seem like a possibility. In 2013, Tesla grew to 19,000 cars on the road, making expansion of the charging stations a necessity. According to a tweet from Elon Musk, Superchargers, which can charge the vehicle in just 30 minutes, now span from California to New York, to Florida, with an additional few in Texas. While it isn’t a direct route across the nation, it is now possible to go cross-country in a Tesla. For now, this would be a time-consuming trip as it winds through the US, 2015 should welcome conveniently located Superchargers in all 50 states, and Canada.
