USB type-C coming soon to Android?

Don’t be shocked if you see USB type-C on your smartphone soon, yes that tiny port you see on the latest Macbook and soon Google. In a video accompanying the new Chromebook, it looks like Google is  “very committed” to the new USB spec and that you’ll see it on both Android phones and more Chromebooks in the “near future.” It’s an unclear promise, but it will matter in the long run. Type-C delivers super fast USB 3-level speeds without requiring the current big connector, and the reversible design means you won’t have to look at your phone to make sure its plugged in the right way.
