The first episode of Telltale’s Walking Dead game is now free for “limited time,” on Xbox Live Marketplace; the other four episodes will still cost 400 Microsoft Points ($5) each.
Episode one of a five-part game series of The Walking Dead begins as Lee Everett, a convicted criminal, awakes into a society devastated by the undead plague. Your actions, choices and decisions will affect how your story develops throughout the entire series.
On the Spike Video Game Awards, The Walking Dead received the Game of the Year award. Other awards won by the game include the best downloadable game and the best adapted game, best performance by a human female as Clementine for voice actor Melissa Hutchison and studio of the year for Telltale Games.
“Look, `Walking Dead’ fans, this is obviously for you,” said Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. “Thank you so much. You guys watch the TV show. You read the comics. You play the video games. You make all this possible.”
